It wasn’t a great start to CNN’s next phase of State of the Union sans Candy Crowley as the network scrapped the day’s scheduled political guests in lieu of finding another missing plane.
As was the case with the ’round the clock reporting of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 in early 2014, CNN is looking to do the same in resuming endless segments of expert speculation and theorizing as news breaks of yet another missing plane, this time an AirAsia plane carrying 162 passengers.
Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) were scheduled to appear but their interviews were bumped for the breaking news. According to The Hill, CNN plans to post those interviews online. The Hill notes that Sen. Bob Menendez’s (D-NJ) interview was also bumped but was unclear whether his interview will be posted to CNN’s website.
This is (still) CNN.
