Former President George H.W. Bush was released from the hospital yesterday, seven days after being admitted for breathing issues.
“He is now resting at home, grateful to the doctors and nurses for their superb care,” his spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement this afternoon.
The former president was rushed to Houston’s Methodist Hospital on December 23.
The family spokesman reported that Bush Sr. was in good spirits throughout his stay and that his extended stay in the hospital was only out of caution.
