Former President Bush Rushed To Hospital By Ambulance

Former President George H. W. Bush was taken to the hospital overnight in Houston after experiencing shortness of breath, according to a statement from the family.

The AP reports that the President, age 90, was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a “precaution” in the words of a spokesman. It is the same Houston-area hospital where he spent nearly two months last year with bronchitis. AP reports that President Obama has been notified of the former President’s condition:

“President Obama and the first lady send their good wishes to the former president and the entire Bush family during this holiday season,” said White House spokesman Eric Schultz.
