Trouble brews once again for George Zimmerman, who was acquitted in 2013 for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman appeared in court Saturday morning in Florida, was ordered to surrender all firearms “out of an abundance of caution,” and had his bail set at $5,000.
TMZ added, “And get this … Zimmerman laughed and joked with a bailiff as he signed court docs.”
This isn’t the first time this world headline-maker has been arrested for aggravated assault. In 2013, he was accused of pointing a shotgun at his then-girlfriend’s face during an argument. In another instance, Zimmerman’s estranged wife accused him of pointing a gun at her during a domestic disturbance, but she later recanted.
As Breitbart notes, Zimmerman was reported by various media outlets (NBC, CNN, AP, NYT) as being a “White Hispanic,” thereby infusing false racial elements into his shooting of unarmed black teenager, Martin.
