Millennium Falcon Toy Repurposed As Record Turntable

This is the 1977 Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon toy that was stuffed with the guts of a Technics SL-1200 turntable by Marco Garza. It makes the perfect record player for listening to John Williams’ original Star Wars score. Or Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon. It’s a record player — play whatever the hell you want to on it. Just not spin-the-bottle. “Why not?” Kissing is icky, grown-ups do it! “Jesus, how old are you, GW?” Mentally or physically? “Mentally.” Like seven. “And physically?” I feel like a fat 55-year old.

Keep going for a couple shots of the build process.

Thanks to Luc, who’s still hoping for 8-tracks to have the same resurgence in popularity that vinyl has enjoyed.
