U.S. fighter jets launched a “targeted” airstrike on Friday against Islamic militants in Iraq, just hours after President Obama authorized military action to protect U.S. personnel and Iraqi civilians.
Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby said Friday that two F/A-18 jets dropped 500-pound bombs on a piece of artillery and the truck towing it. The Pentagon said the military conducted the strike at 6:45 a.m. ET, against terrorists with the Islamic State (IS), the group formerly known as ISIS.
Well well. Look who decided Iraqi children deserve to live. Of course, had he just provided air support for Iraqi forces from the beginning when he was asked to, thousands of innocent people would still be alive, and ISIS would have just been another fleeting extremist group no one remembered.
I guess the narrative of conjuring up any and all executive powers to save illegal immigrant children crossing the border claiming to be fleeing violence, while at the same time letting Iraqi children die, finally caught up with ‘ol POTUS.
