But Obama’s stance against rioting does not necessarily mean that he is prepared to accept the outcome of this case.
It is clear that Trayvon Martin’s death should never have happened. We must see in this case yet another compelling reason for all of us to judge one another only by the content of our character—never based on color, clothing, or appearance. Our community, and every community, will be better off when strangers look across difference and find reasons to respect, not fear, one another.
