UT’s Dr. Jeff Temple conducted a study intended to show whether or not sexting and sexual behavior were truly connected by tracking the sexting and sexual behavior of a group of 1000 students over six years. The results confirmed previous findings that those participating in sexting are far more likely to have sex and that sexting often leads to more sexting, thus compounding the cycle.
