The South Bend curfew for teenagers ages 15 to 17 is after 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, before 5 a.m. Monday through Friday and between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday and Sundays.
The curfew for children younger than 15 is 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
Thirteen of the children were taken home, released to an adult and cited for the violation. One child was found to be in possession of a handgun and was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
Police also found a stolen vehicle from Elkhart driven by an adult with juvenile passengers.
Ruszkowski said he wants kids in the community and the community to be safe.
