Stunning Timelapse Of Earth | Truth Revolt

Everyone loves a timelapse and this one might be one of the coolest ever.

Taken by German astronaut Alexander Gerst while on his six-month Blue Dot mission on the International Space Station, the video is  a six-minute look at the earth from space.

Gerst combined 12,500 images taken while up in space. The video shows an absolutely stunning view of “auroras, sunrises, clouds, stars, oceans, the Milky Way, the International Space Station, lightning, cities at night, spacecraft and the thin band of atmosphere that protects us from space.”

While performing different tasks and missions around the Space Station, Gerst would set up camera to take photos at regular intervals.
