She was doing a report in Philadelphia when a woman approached and interrupted her #live segment saying, “Excuse me, excuse me.” Delgado continued to do her job, and then the woman attacked.
According to Philly.com, an arrest has been made.
The news crew that accompanied Delgado pushed the woman, identified by police as Waheedah Wilson, away after she struck their colleague. The crew then followed Wilson for block before she was arrested.
Wilson, 37, of the 300 block of South Broad Street, was charged with simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. She is awaiting a preliminary hearing after failing to post bail, according to public records.
Wilson has a criminal history that includes a conviction for drug possession with intent to deliver, according to public records.
Delgado complained of pain to the right side of her head but said she would seek treatment later, according to the police report.
